Position: San Diego Sales Rep

Status: Independent Contractor

Compensation: Commission-Based

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Introduce Living Air Ware Collectibles to local gift shops, boutique nurseries, art galleries and more!
  • Schedule meetings and present samples to local shop owners and retail buyers.
  • Call on current accounts, updates sales orders and make deliveries as needed.

Skills & Attributes Required:

  • Must have an Artistic Eye! As a representative of Living Air Ware, a Sales Rep must be able to appreciate, interpret and elucidate clearly the artistic processes at work. 
  • Must be a Self-Starter! An independent sales rep should be comfortable setting own schedule and following through on commitments.     
  • Must be a friendly, enthusiastic, approachable & knowledgeable.  
  • Must be willing to make cold calls & pound pavement!
  • Must have stellar attention to detail, organizational aptitude, problem-solving skills, common sense and diligence.
  • Must be able to take pride in work as well as accept and act upon constructive feedback.
  • Must have basic computer skills to be able to browse & research internet, enter data in basic software programs, schedule calendar items and receive and respond to emails.   
  • Must have proficient writing, verbal and math skills.

Preferred Skills & Attributes:

  • Sales experience in the gift & home décor industry is a preference.
  • Ability to make and close deals is key.

Currently Filled:

Position: Workshop Associate

Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Compensation: Starting at $10-12/hr, to be Based on Experience

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Prepare and assemble company creations with artistic eye and acute attention to detail
  • Plan order fulfillment, pack orders and ensure shipping deadlines
  • Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the workshop to ensure a fun, effective and safe environment
  • Track, order and organize workshop and office materials
  • Field customer service calls and emails
  • Assist with customer, inventory, purchasing and other record-keeping tasks as needed
  • Be ready to help set up, break down and tend company booth at high-volume street markets and venues offsite
  • Initiate and support other projects and tasks as needed

Skills & Attributes Required:

  • Must have an Artistic Eye! -Much of what we do centralizes around creating, presenting and distributing unique art pieces.  Ability to create, critique, identify and improve artistic elements within the company is a must!  
  • Must be a Self-Starter! -This is a startup company so we need all team members to have strong initiative, resourcefulness and commitment
  • Must be a friendly, easy-going Team-Player! -As a startup company, our team will go through lots of changes in the first years.  Roles and responsibilities may change hands regularly.  The physical space we work in will be continually modified to scale company growth.  We all have to work together to make it work!

Position: Clay Artist

Status: Independent Subcontractor, Work from Home

Compensation: Pay Based on Work Completed

Description:

Our Professional Clay Artists are trained to handcraft our various charms out of polymer clay.  Depending on skill level, our Clay Artists are contracted with quotas of our various charms to complete in their own home on their own time.  Clay and clay tools are provided to complete the quotas.  Artists are paid piecework for each charm submitted that meets our design and functionality concepts.

Attributes:

  • Must have an Artistic Eye and strong attention to detail!
  • Must be able to travel to Workshop in Escondido, CA, 1-2 times each month to drop of work and pick more materials.
  • Must be able to take pride in work as well as accept and act upon constructive feedback.
  • Experience with 3D art mediums preferred, but we will train the right candidates.
